A little late on the reports, but here goes. Went out on 7-24-07 with capt. Jonathan Sanchez of reel excitement charters.Had a great time with a great guide. We had our limit of 50 trout all between 1.5 to almost 4 lbs.plus 4 flounderby 9:30am. Our guide Jonathan Sanchez was the best very knowledgable and worked his but off to make this trip a success. He went way out of his way helping my son Kerry land trout after trout.Hats off to Reel Excitement Charters and Jonathan Sanchez. Also anyone looking to fish Breton sound I would highlly recommend the folks at Breton Sound Marina, Barry Brechtel and Glen Sanchez or first class individuals who are always willing to help you out.

Nice day in Breton Sound with Cpt. Jonathon Sanchez of Reel Excitement Charters

This buck was taken this past Saturday morning with a muzzleloader. It has 40 points and scores around 220 B&C ( unofficially). The wire around it's horns is from a hot wire to keep it out of the garden, which didn't work. I was told Bass Pro and Cabela's are already trying to bid for it.
This is only the second buck that Baler has ever taken. His other buck was a 12' eight point. The only problem that Baler has now is there is no where to go but down. What a monster.

What a week it would be for Mark Parria, Mark Parria Jr., and Mike Arceneaux. They arrived in Quebec on 6/10/07 for a week of black bear hunting with our outfitter in Quebec. It started out with a bang. They arrived at 2 pm, and by 9 pm that evening, Mark Parria had a beautiful bear down. The next evening it was Mark Jr.'s turn to fill his tag. Two days, two bears, and the best was yet to come.

Nine bears passed on and three days later, Mike Arceneaux would score on the bear of his dreams. Said Mike "It was hard to pass on so many bears, but I knew what I was looking for", and man, did he; taking one of the largest bears ever harvested in the province, a beauty that will certainly go B&C. We will post the official score on both Mike's and Mark's bears when they are officially scored.

Three clients, three bears, four days, anyone wanting to make a hunt like this at an unbelievable price, give us a call as we are now booking for the Spring 08 season.

Finally got a chance to get back out in Breton Sound. The family and I arrived at the BSM launch and was greeted by calm winds and a falling tide. So, I knew this was going to be one of those special mornings, as we headed down the MRGO towards the long rocks, warm breeze in our face, brilliant light show off to the west, we were ready. As we arrived at the end of the rocks with the sun coming up behind us and slick calm water first cast and fish on. With every cast we were landing keeper trout all around 1 to 2 pound Speckled trout. And it didnt take long for Kerry to decide he wanted red fish. Rerig his line on goes the cracked crab cast the line and redfish a big one, the fight is on.(you can see the video on our my space site at myspace.com/brunelloutdoors). We finished the day with a near five person limit of trout, two bull reds who got their picture taken and released to fight another day. All in all it was one of those special days spent with the family and a great time was had by all. Will post pictures of this trip soon.

Wow, what a day in Breton Sound. The morning started out a bit rough with seas running 2 to 3 feet, made for a bumpy ride out to the rigs. At our first stop it seemed we caught everything but trout, Lady fish, Blue fish, sharks, and Spanish mackeral. We made a couple of moves but more of the same, so we decided to head in. On the way in we noticed a school of minnows on the surface with birds diving on them. As we headed over to check it out we came across a school of huge bull reds feeding on the surface. What a site to see, and thats when the action started. Every cast produced a hook up. The action was fast and furious for the next two hours - steady action on Spanish mackeral and big bull reds. Then like flippen' a switch, they were gone. It didnt take long to figure out why. SHARKS, and big ones, moved in on our party. As Grady reeled in a Spanish mackeral a huge bull shark, easy five footer, came up and took it right off the side of the boat. Making a quick run and short work of Grady's line, breaking off about the same time Kerry's drag started screaming. Twenty minutes later and many trips around the boat Kerry had his nice black tip in the boat. As it was getting late, and we were short on bait we called it a day. If you have never seen schools of bull reds feeding on the surface, believe me it makes for one of those special days you that you won't soon forget. Till next time, take a child fishing or hunting as they are the future of our great sport.

These are the deer that me, my dad, and another guy killed about a week ago. We killed an 8-point, a heavy 5-point, and 3 does. The bigger 8-point has a 16-3/4 inch inside spread. It was killed November 2006. The first 2 bucks were killed November 2007.

Went out of Breton Sound Marina, Sunday to Bay Eloi. Had the wife, Kerry, and Grady for a day of family fishing. The wind blew hard out of the northwest most of the morning, but finally laid down about 11:00am; we were able to land 10 trout with many more throwbacks. Kerry caught his first big drum and Grady hooked up on a really nice bull red. Krissie lost a big one, never got to see what it was but it pulled her all around the boat before breaking off but was able to land a really nice sheephead. All in all a good day well spent.
